Haven clashes with Clarion on the diamond

DUBOIS, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team traveled to Clarion for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West doubleheader to wrap up a four-game series with the Golden Eagles on Sunday. Clarion won game one 10-5 and game two was suspended in the third inning due to rain.

After two scoreless innings, The Haven took a 1-0 lead on an RBI-single by Kellen Jackson.

Lock Haven starting pitcher Tyler Serb went scoreless through the opening four innings, however, Clarion struck for four runs in the fifth, before putting the game away with six runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Cayden Robertson homered and drove in three runs, while Nick Negola also picked up an RBI to round out the Bald Eagle scoring.

It is the second homerun in as many days for Robertson.

Jackson, Robertson and Braden Cummings all finished with two hits.

Game two on the afternoon and game four of the series was suspended in the third inning with Clarion leading 5-0 due to rain.
