LEWISBERRY –Mifflin County’s boys basketball team dropped a tough one on the road on Friday, falling to Red Land 50-45.

Junior Zach Keller led the way with 19 points for the Huskies.

The Huskies drop to 6-8 on the season, and return home on Wednesday to host Hershey. JV tips at 5:30 with varsity to follow.

The JV Huskies also fell, losing 48-23.

Freshman Luke Warfel had six points for the Huskies.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Norry drops BCS, 54-22

NORTHUMBERLAND — Northumberland Christian girls hoops beat Belleville Christian on Friday, 54-22.

BCS (3-8, 3-4 ACAA) got nine points from Hailey Zook and Katelyn Renno added seven points.

Next, BCS plays Ferndale at 4:30 on Monday.

Warriors cruise past Huskies, 53-12

GETTYSBURG — Gettysburg (10-1, 5-0 Mid-Penn) wrestling beat Mifflin County on Thursday, 53-12.

At 107, Husky Ethan Johnson got an 11-6 decision over Lucas Ridgley.

Andrew Alexander earned a 13-0 major decision against Warrior Jayden Black during the 114-pound bout.

At 133, William Yordy got a tech fall against Husky Bentley Felmlee at 5:56, 18-3.

At 189, Reese Christine earned a tech fall versus Warrior Reid Whitmoyer, 17-1, at the six-minute mark.

Next, the Huskies (6-5, 1-2 Mid-Penn) battle Chambersburg today at 11 a.m.
