Eagles fly by Indians, 41-27
MIFFLINTOWN – Line Mountain rolled by Juniata in girls basketball action on Thursday night, 41-27.
For Juniata (2-4), Mylee Landis had 12 points and Aubryn Deihl added six points.
For the Eagles, Carma Shutt tallied 13 points and Maliya Ebersole had six points.
The Eagles outscored Juniata, 20-7, in the third stanza.
Next, Juniata takes a long break and returns to action on Dec. 29. They’ll face York County Tech in Halifax for the Halifax Candy Cane Classic.
Wildcats sink Tigers
MILLERSTOWN — Greenwood topped East Juniata in girls hoops on Thursday, 28-24.
For EJ (3-3), Landyn Cramer dropped 12 points and Carolyn Dressler added seven points.
EJ hit two threes in the contest and Greenwood made two also.
For Greenwood, Sylvia Gantt collected 13 points and Gabi Gantt added seven.
EJ visits Forbes Road on Saturday.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Mustangs gallop past Tigers, 56-49
MIDDLEBURG — D’zani Coley dropped 29 points as Midd-West (2-3) beat East Juniata on Wednesday, 56-49.
Hezekiah Prinsloo added eight points and Abram Sellers tallied seven points.
For EJ (2-4), Wrett Smith posted 25 points and Josh Dubiel added six points. Sam Kopacki had five points.
EJ mustered 10 threes in the ballgame as Smith drilled half of them. Coley recorded four threes.
Midd-West visits Newport on Saturday. EJ hosts Greenwood on Friday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Eagles topple Mustangs, 51-22
MANDATA — Line Mountain girls hoops beat Midd-West on Wednesday night, 51-22.
For the Mustangs, Izzy Walter had 10 points and Emma Wagner added eight.
For the Eagles, Ava Stiely tallied 13 points and Bella Shingara added 11.
Line Mountain had five threes and Midd-West had one.
