Juniata Christian Lions earn ACAA Honors

MCALISTERVILLE — The Juniata Christian School varsity boys soccer team wrapped up a successful 2025 season with a 13-7 overall record, with two athletes recognized for both skill and character on the field.

Junior forward Julian Flores de Valgaz of Mifflin received the most votes from all participating athletes for First Team All-Star in the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association. He led the Lions in a winning season with 43 goals and 19 assists. Flores also received the ACAA Christian Character Award. According to JCS Athletic Director Luke Showers, Flores showed respect toward opposing coaches and athletes, demonstrated constant effort and hustle, and consistently encouraged his teammates.

Senior Troy Hoover of Mifflintown received the second-most votes for First Team ACAA All-Star, capping off his final season with 31 goals and 16 assists.

Both athletes have been invited to participate in the ACAA All-Star game, which will be held on Friday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. at Malinak Field, Central Mountain High School. The address is 64 Keystone Central Dr., Mill Hall, Pa. 17751.
