MINGOVILLE — Mifflin County golf competed on Thursday at Nittany Country Club, the home of Bellefonte.

This match is a different style of play than our normal matches. This is played as a match play event, and nine points are up for grabs. Six points on the front 9 with MC’s top six golfers playing head to head against Bellefonte’s top six golfers.

Then on the back 9, the number one and two players from each team play a two-man scramble, as do the three and four, as well as the five and six players to earn another three points.

Bellefonte won the match, 7-2. Picking up points on the day for MC was Jude Zook who won his individual match with five and three as his scores, and then Zook and Evan Breon teamed up to win a point in the scramble format, winning one up.
