Indians pummel Blackhawks, 48-0
DUNCANNON — Ty Rowles got a two-yard rushing touchdown and Juniata football never looked back during a Week 6 win over Susquenita (1-5) on Friday night, 48-0.
Rowles had two rushing scores in the ballgame to make it 12-0 Juniata, about nine minutes to go in the first quarter.
Isaac Ramirez added a four-yard rushing TD and Cam Bargo had the 2-pointer, to make it 20-0 Juniata in front with five minutes left in the first stanza.
Jasper Shepps padded the lead with an eight-yard rushing score and Jason Condo threw a 34-yard TD to Shepps, making it 34-0 Indians.
With five minutes to go in the second period, Bargo darted to paydirt from eight yards out, giving Juniata a 41-0 lead.
Condo ended the scoring with a 27-yard pass to Shepps, making it 48-0, with a minute left in the first half.
Juniata (4-2) plays Newport next week.

MIDDLEBURG — Emery Peters, Addie Yerg and Bella Knepp each scored a goal as Midd-West topped Shamokin, 6-1, Thursday.
Midd-West (5-3-1 (3-1-1 Heartland) also got a goal from Maddie Bonsall, Maya Zechman and Nittany Weaver.
Shamokin (2-8 (0-5 Heartland) was outshot 12-1.

HALIFAX — Juniata volleyball beat Halifax on Thursday, 26-24, 25-19, 25-20.
Maddie Copeland had 16 assists and Hannah Graybill added 16 kills for Juniata.
Miley Hack posted 13 digs and 10 points for Juniata and Hope Kehler collected 10 points. Grace Reinhold added seven assists.
Juniata plays EJ on Monday.
