MIDDLEBURG — Juniata volleyball swept Midd-West on Wednesday, 25-23, 25-13, 25-20.

Miley Hack chalked up 13 digs for the Indians. Maddie Copeland added nine assists. Hope Kehler posted eight digs and eight points.

Juniata visits West Shore on Saturday. Midd-West hits the road to be in a Montoursville tournament Saturday.

Mustangs double up Wildcats, 4-2

HALIFAX — Midd-West topped Halifax in boys soccer action on Tuesday, 4-2.

Gabe Romig, Connor Stoltzfus and Evan Devine each scored for the Mustangs. Midd-West was gifted a goal as Halifax hit a shot into their own net.

Midd-West outshot Halifax, 10-3. They had more corners, 6-3. The Wildcats had more saves, 7-1.

Mustangs (1-0) visit Mifflinburg on Sept. 2.
