Renovations continue at MC library

You’ve probably heard by now that library renovations have started. It’s been very exciting and, surprisingly, not as noisy as I had originally thought it would be. Before I go on any further, this project is supported in part through a grant from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, PA department of Education, with funds provided from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund. March ’24 updates for Juniata County Library

A lot is going on at the library, so we want to make sure to share some updates with you: Mobile hotspots: We received notice recently that the organization loaning us the AT&T and Verizon hotspots will be discontinuing their service. Their next cycle starts in April and the hotspots will stop working sometime between now and then. An alternative: use one of our 31 T-Mobile hotspots. We believers today could learn a great deal from Daniel with the challenges, obstacles and opportunities that we have in our modern society and culture. Daniel was living in Babylon and in a sense we are “living in Babylon” as well. I am using Babylon as a metaphor for culture and society. A St. Patrick’s Day feast in Bev’s Kitchen

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the kitchen. I don’t have Irish in my background but I’m always excited to try foods from different parts of the world. Did you know that Irish stew is considered to be Ireland’s national dish? And soda bread is their bread of choice. I had to give that a try. So, I decided to make corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread and Irish tea cake to celebrate the Irish food culture on St. Patrick’s Day. Glad I tried these recipes.
