Doris Ann Stout

Born Aug. 24, 1945, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late E. Maurice Shunkweiler and Mary (Shilling) Reigle.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her son Mark Stout, and several siblings. Though she experienced great loss, she remained a steady and loving presence for those who survived her.

She is survived by her children, Christine Hall, of McClure, Michael Stout and wife, Betty, of Longfellow; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

For many years, Doris worked at Quality Inn & Suites in Burnham, where she became a familiar and comforting presence to coworkers and travelers alike. She wasn’t just someone who showed up to do a job — she brought kindness, patience, and a quiet sense of humor to every shift.

Per her wishes, No services will be held.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
