Linda S. Rager

Born on Sept. 30, 1945, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late J. Boyd Ferster and Marion (Swartzel) Stratford.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis J. Rager; her children, Kimbra Shreiber, of Lewistown, and Ron Aurand and his companion, Christine Baker-Shuck, of Huntingdon; her brother, Kurt Ferster and his wife, Nancy, of Juliet, Tenn.; her sister-in-law, Nancy Wilson, of Spring Mills; her cherished grandchildren, Chad Shreiber and his companion, Eric Stanick, Ron Aurand and his wife, Ashley, and Jordan Aurand; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Aspyn, and Layla.

Linda was a familiar and welcoming presence at Tony’s Cottage Inn for many years, where she worked as both a bartender and housemaid. She later continued in a similar role at Lew-Vo’s, and also dedicated time to her work at Ruble’s Concessions. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures — spending evenings at the speedway watching sprint car racing, enjoying shopping trips, and, above all, treasuring the time she spent with her family.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Luke Shinskie officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
