Josiah David Westover

Born on Feb. 12, 1994 in Belleville, he was the son of Joseph M. Westover, of Allensville and Virginia F. (French) Westover, of Reedsville.

Along with his parents, he is survived by siblings: Aimee Trimmer and husband, Nathan of Hellam, Pa., Megan Giordano and husband, Vince, of Milroy, Benjamin Westover, of Allensville, Esther O’Dell, of Lolo, Montana, and Mercy Westover, of Reedsville and 9 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by infant brother, Nathanael Westover, as well as paternal grandparents: Karl and Hazel Westover, and maternal grandparents: Donald and Madaline French.

Josiah graduated in 2012 from New Day Charter School in Huntingdon. He was employed by Allensville Planing Mill for over 10 years. He started mowing weeds at the start and eventually he was in charge of the maintenance department. In 2023 he went on the road working on automated truss equipment traveling all over the country. Lastly, he was owner/operator of WR Industrial with his brother, doing diesel equipment and truck repairs.

He served as a coach for the HCC swim team and the Community Center for six years. He and brother Ben like doing truck pulling together. He also enjoyed traveling to Montana to snowmobile.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.

A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Geisinger Medical Center BP8 in Danville, nurses and staff at the infusion center at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, Geisinger Hospice, and a special thanks for all the prayers, cards and calls by various individuals and churches in the area.
