Brett Allen Johns

Brett was born on Nov. 30, 1966, in Lewistown. He was the son of the late Gary Lee Johns and Shirley P. (Hower) Johns and husband, Donald Laub who survives him.

Along with his mother, Brett is survived by a son, Cody Johns and wife, Samantha, of Lewistown, and daughter, Hunter Johns, of Port Royal. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Carter Johns, Blake Aumiller, and Wyatt Johns. Brett is survived by his siblings, Wendy Smith and husband, Curtiss, and Tracy Gray and husband, William, both of Lewistown; nieces and nephew, Jedidiah, Sommer, Cassy Johns; as well as a dear friend, Marjorie Murphey, of Tyrone.

Brett was a 1985 graduate of Lewistown High School and earned his associate degree from Thompson Institute.

He worked as an engineer and provided tech support at GE Healthcare in State College.

Brett enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also cherished the company of his dog Brutus.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Dormantown Lutheran Cemetery.
