Betty Jane Earnest

Born Nov. 1, 1953, in La Chapell Saint-Mesmin, Centre France, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Francoise M. (Chansand) Keefer.

She is survived by her children, Melinda Earnest, of Lewistown, Bonnie Earnest and fiancé, Scott Criswell, of Lewistown, Shawn Earnest and wife, Robin, of Burnham, Stephanie Earnest and husband, Eric Carlson, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Curtis, Caiden, Mason, Brady, and Cody; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Mike Keefer, of Lewistown, Garry Keefer, of Lewistown, and Shirley Hoffman, of Granville.

After graduating high school she went to South Hills and earned her business degree.

Betty worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at Sellinsgrove Center Hospital.

She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her animals and spending time in her back yard.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Lewistown, with Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.

Interment will take place at Vira Methodist Cemetery.
