Ronald A. Traxler
Ronald A. Traxler, 91, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at his home.
Born on June 23, 1934 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Floyd and Elveretta (Koontz) Traxler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie E. (Yeater) Traxler; brother, Darrell Traxler, and a sister, Wanda Fisher.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Kraft and husband, Michael, of Lykens, Alice Norton, of Lewistown, Selena Sutton and husband, Walt, of New Jersey, Ronald “Rusty” Traxler, and companion, Jen Martin, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Kevin Cramer and wife, Angela, Michael Kraft, Jessica Putt and husband, Keith, Heather Thomson and husband, Joe, and Nick Traxler; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Paige, Levon, Everleigh, Emerson, Jasmine, and Jackson; a great-great-granddaughter, Evelyn; and a sister, Susan Shehan, of Lewistown.
Earlier in life he was a member of Lewistown CM&A church.
Ronald was a 1952 graduate of Lewistown High School.
Ronald served as a veteran in the United States Air Force.
He worked at the American Viscose Corporation, and later held maintenance positions at William Penn Nursing Home and Mifflin County School District.
He enjoyed woodworking, making beautiful furniture, and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Chuck Silks officiating.
