Leon F. Baughman
Leon F. Baughman, 78 of Mifflintown passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at his residence.
Born on Feb. 16, 1948, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Clyde Baughman and Althea (Colyer) Meiser. On July 8, 1967, he married his surviving wife, Norene (Murphy) Baughman with whom he was blessed to share more than 58 years of marriage before his passing.
He is survived by his children Keir Baughman and wife, Sandra, Kendra Drawbaugh and husband, Michael. He is also survived by grandchildren Trevor, Gavin, Andrea and Elena, as well as great-grandchildren Alex, Autumn and Briella.
Mr. Baughman was a proud veteran having served in the US Army. He worked for 39 years as a central office technician for United Telephone, which later became Sprint then Embarq.
Leon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McAlisterville. He was also a member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville where military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.
