James A. Speck
James A. Speck, 69, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at Greenwood Village.
Born May 4, 1956, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late James A. Speck and Dorothy (Brannon) Speck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sueann (Raimando) Speck; sister, Paulie Wright; and a niece, Mandy Speck.
He is survived by a daughter, Taylor Speck, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Riley Dunmire, Skylar Dunmire, Maddex Setford, Liam, Setford; sisters, Carol Speck, and Linda Beer, both of Milroy; nieces and nephews, Justin Decker, Chip Decker, Susan Stahlman, Rebecca Hannon, Angela Gordon, Shannon Barr, Allan Bark, Michael Kellogg, Jason Wright; many great nieces and nephews, , Ricky Hannon, Jamie, Trinna, Tarrah, and Tobynn.
James’s life revolved around the deep love he held for his family — especially his greatest pride and joy, his daughter and his grandchildren. Every day, he found fulfillment in the special bonds they shared, cherishing every moment spent together.
He enjoyed the art of woodworking, finding relaxation and purpose in creating with his hands. Alongside his craft, James treasured the loyal companionship of his beloved dog, Spot. James passed away with a smile on his face, surrounded by the love and memories that defined his life. He is now finally at peace.
A memorial service will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m.
