Ethel E. Parker
Ethel E. Parker, 85, of rural Beaver Springs, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 24, 1940 in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Melvin M. and Erma C. (Lane) Cowan. On March 29, 1958 she married Donald H. Parker Sr. who survives. Ethel’s passing breaks a marital union of 67 Years.
Ethel attended West Snyder High School.
She worked at Red’s Diner, Lewistown, Saylor’s Shirt Factory, Beavertown, and Kirby’s Manufacturing, McClure.
Ethel enjoyed quilting, sewing, bingo, and going out to eat. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Donald, Ethel is survived by one son, Donald Parker Jr.; three daughters, Susan (Herb) Herman, Lisa (Dwayne) Hackenberg, and Dana Gaugler; seven grandchildren, Lance (Felicia) Herman, Amelia (Evin) Proffitt, Dexter, (Sierra) Herman, Megan (James) O’Brien, Gabrielle Hackenberg, Gregory (Jennifer) Gaugler, and Colby Gaugler and his fiancÈ Marrisa; 15 great-grandchildren, Jade, Ava, Chasity, Savannah, Chase, Colt, Reed, Chloe, Liam, Declan, Charlie, Murphy, Henrik, Rurik, and Clementine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie and Richard Cowan; one sister, Delores Havice; one son-in-law, Todd Gaugler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Middlecreek Community Fellowship Church, 70 Paxton St., Middleburg with Pastor Steve Hoke officiating.
Arrangements are by the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.
