Charles Elwood Raffensberger III
Charles Elwood Raffensberger III, of Lack Township Pa., formerly of Columbia, Pa., went home to the Lord Feb. 1, 2026. He was the beloved son of Charles E. and Elizabeth Marie (Harlan) Raffensberger Jr.
Charles was born on Feb. 10, 2010, in Columbia, Lancaster County. He was a sophomore at Juniata High School and Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology studying in the electrical program. He also was appreciative of his job at Kings Egg Farm, East Waterford, where he worked in various capacities.
Charles was previously a member of the Shade Mountain Boys Club and the Juniata County Babe Ruth Baseball Club. His family remembers his zest for life, his sweet, kind and radiant spirit in addition to being fun, bubbly and comical. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his father and uncle, Shawn, along with local visits to the Cheese Nook with his dad and sisters. His vacations to Tennessee, West Virginia, Knoebels and Philly along with spending time in Lancaster with cousins and family were all things that brought much joy to a wonderful son, brother and family member, who will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Surviving with his parents are two sisters, Chloe, age 19 and Autumn, age 17, and other close family living in Lancaster and Dauphin Counties.
A celebration of Charles’s life will be held Feb. 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059 with Pastors Garrick Paden and Elvin Fisher, officiating.
