Audrey M. Gilbert

Born on Aug. 16, 1940, in Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late William H. “Bill” and Martha C. (Burd) Landis.

On Dec. 7, 1985, she married her late husband, John “Shorty” Gilbert, with whom she was blessed to share more than 19 years of marriage before his passing on Aug. 9, 2005.

She is survived by her children, Ethel Adams and her husband Michael of McVeytown, Sandra Wagner and her husband John of Mifflintown, and Jennifer Gilbert and her companion Randy Freet of Honey Grove, Rosemary Vuxta and her husband Jim of Bainbridge, John Gilbert and his wife Onalee of Craley, Tina Hile of Richfield, and William Gilbert of Lancaster County; grandchildren, Jessica Kramer, Jon Varner, Lisa Miller, Brian Wagner, Bobby Wileman, Tiffany Arnold, Carrie Hepner, Hunter Frantz, Katelynn Frantz, Johnny Gilbert, and Jasmine Preston; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, David Landis and his wife Cheryl of Thompsontown, RuthAnn Fosselman of McAlisterville, Samuel Landis of McAlisterville, Daniel Landis of McAlisterville, and Donna Walters of McAlisterville; and many generations of nieces and nephews.

Viewing will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville. Interment will follow at Lauvers Mennonite Cemetery, Richfield.
