Ruth O. Clouser

Bon on Feb. 9, 1946, in Bannerville, she was the daughter of the late Christ and Dora (Hassinger) Boonie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Boonie and a brother, Clarence Boonie.

She is survived by her husband, William C. Clouser Sr., whom she married Oct. 9, 1965; children, Charlane Geedey and husband, Steve, of Miffltown, William C. Clouser Jr. and significant other, Ruth M. Adams, of Lewistown, Jeffrey Clouser and husband, Brian Cusick, of Rehoboth Beach; grandchildren, Amber Whitesel and husband, Derek, Hunter Geedey and significant other, Lauren Parsons; great-grandchildren, Finley and Leland; sisters, Mary Schreiber, of Carlisle, Betty Heintzleman and husband, Mark, of Milton, Velma Heister and husband, Larry, of Granville; sister-in-law, Shirley Boonie, of Middleburg.

A lifetime member of Rhodes Memorial Church, Ruth sang in the choir and actively participated in various church initiatives, including Mission Meals, Power Packs for kids, and holiday bazaars. She enjoyed sewing, baking, going camping, and especially cherished attending the sporting events and activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a proud graduate of West Snyder High School, class of 1964

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at Rhodes Memorial Church, with a funeral service at noon, with Pastor Steven Small and Pastor Thomas Morningstar officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Burnham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to: Rhodes Memorial Church, Power Packs Fund, 500 Highland Ave., Lewistown.
