Mary F. Gibbons
Mary F. Gibbons, 64, passed away in her Port Royal home on Jan. 17, 2026, following several years of courageous strength and courage in her battle against cancer.
She was born Dec. 23, 1961, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Robert L. “Bink” Gibbons and Betty L. (Rhoads) Gibbons. Mary formerly worked at Empire Kosher Poultry, Mifflintown, and later, a number of years building cabinets at the cabinet shop in Thompsontown.

Surviving is her son, Derek Dalton, who resided with her, and two sisters, Shirley Clouser and Susan Garrett (Charles). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mikyla Marie Dalton and six brothers, Lester, Richard, Ernest, Larry, Donald and Clair, two sisters, Robin Gibbons and Brenda Hutchinson, who recently passed on Jan. 6. A nephew, Nicholas James Gibbons also preceded her in death.
Arrangements are private with the family expressing appreciation for the care of Geisinger Hospice and others for their acts of kindness during the illness and passing of Mary.
