Brenda L. Hutchinson
Brenda L. Hutchinson, 74, of Honey Grove, passed away Jan. 6, 2026 in Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born March 12, 1951, in Tuscarora Twp., she was a daughter of the late Robert “Bink” Gibbons and Betty (Rhoads) Gibbons.
Working in manufacturing jobs for many years, she is remembered as a dedicated and hard-working employee.
Brenda loved collecting owls and had a large collection. Spending time outdoors, mowing, planting flowers, and gardening brought her much enjoyment, as well. She also took great pride in her home and loved looking out at “Bink’s” hill. Additional activities that brought her pleasure included going to and winning at the Atlantic City Casinos with Skip, and they both loved taking off in the jeep headed to Potter County.
She was a member of the American Legion, Post 298, Mifflintown and the VFW Mifflintown Post, 5863.
Surviving are three sons, Larry “Tarz” Hutchinson Jr. and his wife, Tammy, Gary Hutchinson, and his wife, Jessica and Terry Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Dakota Hutchinson, (companion, Tasha Parson), Austin Hutchinson, (companion, Rachel Bargo, who was Brenda’s special nurse at the hospital,) Heath Hutchinson, Leah Hutchinson, Lane Hutchinson and his wife, Nala, and Colton Hutchinson. Also surviving is a step granddaughter, Baylee Foster, and a great grandson, Ronnie Hutchinson, (and Brenda was anticipating the birth of a second great grandson.) Additional survivors include two step great grandsons, Thomas and Kayson, and her sisters, Susan Garrett (Charles), Shirley Clouser, Mary Gibbons and sisters-in-law, Judy Gibbons, Karen Gibbons, and Elizabeth Gibbons and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Robert “Bink” and Betty (Rhoads) Gibbons, she was also preceded in death by her former husband, Larry “Coon” Hutchinson Sr. & her companion, Skip Norris, brothers, Lester, Rich, Don, Clair, Ernest and Larry Sr. and a sister, Robin Gibbons.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Jan. 18, 2026 at 2 p.m. in the Village Lighthouse, 16378 Shade Valley Road, Blairs Mills, PA 17213, with Pastor Judy Rowles, officiating.
