Thatcher Judson Rupert

Thatcher Judson Rupert, born Oct. 10, 2005, in Lewistown, passed away Dec. 9, 2025.

He is survived by his parents Alicia R. Kelsey and Kenneth Kelsey, a brother, Preston Rupert all of Winsted, Conn., step-sisters, Kendall Rizzo (Nick), Katelyn Kelsey, all of Pittsburgh, uncles Judson Rupert and family, Joshua Rupert and family, all of West Milton, Thomas Kelsey and wife of Seville, Ohio, William Kelsey and wife of Warwick, R.I., aunt Catherine Kelsey Cavanaugh and husband of Barkhamsted Conn., along with 15 first cousins. He is also survived by his Pop Pop and Nan, Kelly and Joyce Rupert, of Granville and grandmother Elizabeth (Polacek) Kelsey, of Daisytown.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Kevin L. Rupert and Richard Kelsey and his mom, Shelley R. Smith

Thatcher graduated from Gilbert High School in Winsted, Conn. in June of 2023. Three weeks later he joined the Navy and went to boot camp at The Great Lakes Training Center in Chicago, Ill. He was then stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Thatcher was a very intelligent and caring young man who always thought of others before himself. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his contagious laughter and smile. He had the ability to brighten up a room when he would enter it.

There will be services at a later date at the convenience of the family and interment will be at Mattawanna Cemetery, McVeytown.
