Ronald Zook Peachey
Ronald Zook Peachey, 90, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025 at Valley View Haven Nursing Home, Belleville.
He was born on July 21, 1935 in Belleville, to the late Raymond R. and Ethel M. (Zook) Peachey. He is survived by his wife Velma L. (Stoltzfus) Peachey, who he married on Feb. 18, 1956.
Along with his wife, he is survived by children: Bonita Hambrick and husband, Chris Hambrick, of Cleveland, Texas, Connie Egli and husband, Jeff Egli, of Cleveland, Texas, Edward Peachey and wife, Gwen (Heyerly), of Corvallis, Ore., and daughter-in-law, Carol (Penner) Peachey, of Lowell, Ariz.; grandchildren: Kyra Peachey, Shawnti Peachey, Chad Peachey, Courtney Peachey Trevillion, Meagan Hambrick McKeever, Olivia Hambrick, Jared Egli, Jacob Egli and Sarah Egli; great-grandchildren: Kade Frieden; Maya Velasquez; Reagan and Wyatt Egli; Ford, Shiloh, and Jolie Trevillion; and; Myles, Annalise and Clay McKeever. Surviving siblings include Joyce Yoder, Darlis and husband, Howard, Tim Peachey and wife, Helen, Wilbur Peachey and wife, Esther, Ken Peachey, and sister-in-law Donna Peachey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Clifford; brothers, Dennis and Conrad; brother-in-law, Jess Yoder, and infant grandchild Conner Hambrick.
In earlier years, Ronald operated a poultry farm, was a school bus driver, and owned and operated a lawn seeding business. He also owned and operated a car wash in Belleville for more than 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and flying his Cessna 182 airplane, his pride and joy. Later in life and into retirement, trips to Florida in the winter were immensely enjoyed. He loved music and played guitar and accordion. He was a member of the Allensville Mennonite Church and spent many hours serving there and at other ministries in the area, including a prison ministry. Ronald was a handyman and innovator extraordinaire and could repair just about anything with almost nothing.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Allensville Mennonite Church, followed by a meal.
