Ray E. Pry

Ray E. Pry, 90, of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at Brookline Manor Nursing Home in Mifflintown.

Born Sept. 24, 1935, in Lewistown, Ray was a son of the late Lester and Grace (Keister) Pry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda (Ciecierski) Pry; a brother, Gary L. Pry; and sisters, Fay Arlene Pry, Gladys Ann Pry, and Josephine E. Spickler.

Ray is survived by his devoted daughter, Renee E. Pry, of Lewistown and his son, Daniel J. Pry, of Washington; his granddaughter, Elise Boyd and her husband, Anthony, of Carbondale, Colo., great-granddaughter Macalla Boyd, of Denver, Colo.; his great-great-grandchild, Wesley Elise; and his loving siblings, James Pry and his wife, Betty, of Belleville, Carl Pry and his wife, Donna, of McVeytown, Janet Wilson and her husband, Ronald, of Lewistown, and Carol Johnson and her husband, Harold, of Md.

A proud graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1954, Ray went on to honorably and faithfully serve his country in the United States Army.

Faith was central to Ray’s life. He served for many years as a lay minister in churches throughout the region and was a devoted member of Calvary Bible Church, where he shared his gifts as a Sunday school teacher and choir director. In his working years, Ray was employed at Standard Steel in Burnham and later dedicated many years of service to Penelec until his retirement.

Ray will be remembered as a man of deep faith, a skilled carpenter, and someone who never allowed his hands to be idle. He found great joy in spending time in his garage repairing and building things for neighbors, friends, and loved ones–a quiet but meaningful ministry through which he served others.

All services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
