Lawrence B. ‘Larry’ Krepps Jr.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1946, in Lewistown, to the late Lawrence B. Krepps, Sr. and Alma M. (Headings) Krepps. On March 30, 1983, he married Vangie (Ortega) Krepps, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by children: Jane Zavitz and husband, Joey Todd, of Memphis, Tenn., John Krepps, of Pittsburg, Calif., Stephanie Patterson of Altoona, Pa.; four grandchildren: Ilana Shackelford, Sierra Lang, Nathan Zavitz, Mikayla Patterson; and a great-grandson: Vincent Bernard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Krepps.

Larry graduated from Kishacoquillas High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp for 20 years. Following his military retirement, he went to work as a milk inspector for 30 years.

He enjoyed hauling the Amish, hunting, and driving through the mountains.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Siglerville.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 SR 655 Reedsville, and the funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., at the same location with Vicar Ruth Ann Kephart officiating. Burial will be held at the Salem Cemetery, Siglerville.
