Todd Sterling Goodling
Todd Sterling Goodling, 62, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 29, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Mich., while on a work assignment.
Born March 13, 1963, in Royalton, Pa., he was the son of Alton and Shannon (Garber) Goodling.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Holly (Workinger) Goodling; his daughter, Gabrielle Dettlinger and her husband, Kerry, of Middletown; his son, Brandon Goodling and his wife, Stephanie, of Mechanicsburg; and his step-sons, Jared Ughetto and his wife, Heather, of Reedsville, and Conner Ughetto, of Florida. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jaxson and Kennedi Dettlinger, and Aurora Ughetto, who brought endless joy to his life, and his siblings, Ricky Lee Goodling, of Mechanicsburg, and Dani Stillo, of Middletown.
Todd was employed with DHL as Director of Engineering and Automation, where his dedication, expertise, and leadership earned the respect of colleagues throughout the organization. He also served as a professor at the University of Phoenix, where he shared his knowledge and passion for learning with countless students.
He faithfully served as Chief Financial Officer of Link4Youth in New Cumberland, a nonprofit organization devoted to guiding young people toward success and helping them overcome challenges that stand in the way of their full potential. Through his leadership and compassion, Todd helped strengthen partnerships with schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations, creating meaningful opportunities for local youth.
A proud graduate of Penn State University, Todd truly bled blue and white and rarely missed the chance to cheer on his Nittany Lions. He was also a devoted supporter of the Green Bay Packers, following every game with enthusiasm and loyalty. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, especially enjoying a good cigar on his back porch in the company of friends. Yet, more than any team or pastime, Todd’s greatest joy was his family, they were the center of his world and the source of his deepest pride and happiness.
A celebration of Todd’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 9, 2025 at the Millerstown Moose, 109 W Juniata Pkwy, Millerstown, PA 17062.
