Junior ‘J.R.’ Aaron Henslee
Junior “J.R.” Aaron Henslee, 85, of Reedsville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1940, in Missouri, to the late Curtis A. and Goldie (Blair) Henslee. On June 23, 2018, he married Nina Iosifovna Pavlova, who survives at home.
Surviving are children: Cheryl Coleman and husband, Allan of Potosi, Mo., Jeff Henslee and wife, Marlene, of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Susan Farthing, of Morrison, Ill., Patti Henslee, of Sterling, Ill,, Scott Henslee, of Milledgeville, Ind., 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; a stepson, Alexei A. Pavlov and wife, Gleowyn Pavlova.
He was the last of his immediate family, as he was preceded in death by three brothers.
He retired as a coal miner in Wyoming
He was an avid musician and played several instruments very proficiently. He had previously played the guitar at various churches in their worship groups. He enjoyed camping in earlier years.
He and his wife attended Big Valley Bible Church in Reedsville.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. at the Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 Route 655, Reedsville with Pastor Jeff Hartzler officiating.
