Bonny Kay Habbershon
Bonny Kay Habbershon, 82, passed away on Nov. 16, 2025, at the Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center in Chatham, N.J.
Bonny was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Lewistown, Pa., the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Corson) Habbershon.
She is survived by three brothers, David Habbershon, Thomas Habbershon and Michael Habbershon, all of Lewistown, Pa.; one sister Terry Priore of Cleveland, Ohio; and a son, Paul Tassa, Jr. of Lewistown, Pa., along with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Florann Hopper and Peggy Wileman and seven brothers, William Habbershon, Joseph Habbershon, Edward Habbershon, Raymond Habbershon, Stephen Habbershon, John Habbershon and Jerry Habbershon all of Lewistown, Pa.
Bonny began her professional server career at the Whippany Diner in Whippany, N.J. and then moved to the Nautilus Diner in Madison, N.J. where she worked for more than 30 years. Often working the late shift, Bonny was very well- known among the college students from Drew University, area professional football players, and the Madison Police Department in New Jersey.
Wherever she went, Bonny was often recognized by many former diner customers who were always delighted to see her.
Bonny was a beloved member of the Morristown First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Morristown, N.J. She was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants, even naming her much-loved cat, Eli Manning, who predeceased her by a few months.
Bonny was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
