Vivian B. Searer

Vivian B. Searer, 99, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, formerly of Lewistown, passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.
She was born on May 16, 1926, in Souderton, to the late Edmund and Edna (Bradley) Souder. On Aug. 26, 1948, she married Boyd E. Searer, who preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1990.
Surviving are children: Sharon E. Searer, Pamela A. Hall and husband, Scott, Ann Myers, Michael S. Searer and wife, Donna, stepson, Boyd E. Searer Jr., grandchildren: Mercedes Searer and husband, Iran Papic, Kathleen Brennan and husband James, Corinne Hall and husband Joshua Stoner, Daniel Hall, Ellie Myers and Matthew Myers.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry L. Myers.
She was a graduate of Juniata College and a caseworker at the Pennsylvania Department of Assistance in Lewistown, where she retired in 1990.
Her hobbies included discussing politics with friends, reading, and taking care of her family. Vivian lived her life with steadfast optimism and the will of a fighter. She wanted nothing more than to be a positive force for her family.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, for family and close friends with Pastor George “Buddy” Baird officiating. Burial will take place at the McClure Union Cemetery.
