Judith A. ‘Judy’ Pandel

Judith A. ‘Judy’ Pandel, 81, of Burnham, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Greenwood Village.
Born March 4, 1944, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Ethel (Spiglemyer) Kirk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas ‘Tom’ Pandel; two brothers, Robert and John Kirk; and three sisters, Marlene Miller, Mary Steele, and Donna Hopple.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Yetter and husband, Scott, Scott Pandel and wife, Jodi, Greg Pandel and fiancÈ, Michelle Fellows, all of Lewistown, and Melissa Tate and husband, Shawn, of Burnham; 11 grand children, 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Dave Hopple, of Lewistown, and Harold Miller, of Mattawana.
A proud graduate of Rothrock High School in 1962, Judy’s life was marked by dedication and service. Her early spiritual life was nurtured at Wesley Chapel, and she later found fellowship at Yeagertown U.M.C.
She was known for meticulous skill as a seamstress, advancing to a supervisory role during her 26-year tenure at Scotty’s Fashions. Later, she extended her compassionate spirit to the community, serving as a dedicated nurse’s aide at Lewistown Hospital until her retirement in 2009.
Judy’s heart was truly at home with her family. Her love for her husband, Tom, was a cornerstone of her life, and she delighted in every moment spent with her children, and grandchildren. She was a passionate fan of Penn State football, and she found excitement in the thrill of NASCAR races and savored the quiet, joyful moments spent on her porch, sharing laughter and stories with her dear friend and neighbor, Jerry.
A receiving of friends will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at Rhodes Memorial Church, with a memorial service to follow at 3:30 p.m., with Rev. Steven Small and Rev. Thomas Morningstar officiating.
