Bonnie Kaye (Thompson) Winn
Bonnie Kaye (Thompson) Winn, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully at her home on Oct. 23, 2025.
Born in Lewistown on Feb. 3, 1946, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles E. Thompson and Mabel M. Thompson (Delong) of Milroy. On Jan. 3, 1970, she married the late Charles R. Winn of Lewistown.
She is survived by children, Randy L. Thompson and wife, Jennifer (Burgoon) of Blairsville and Charles E. Thompson of Yeagertown; grandchildren, Dylan C. Thompson and wife, McKenna (Guegold), Samantha M. (Thompson) Gray and husband, Hayden, and William (Liam) B.C. Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Anakin O.L. Gray and Aria M. Gray; and many beloved cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Winn and siblings, Larry A. Thompson and an infant brother, as well as a daughter-in-law Shawnna M. (Linville) Thompson.
Bonnie was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, loving sister, cousin, and loyal friend and neighbor. To all who knew her, Bonnie was a kind and generous soul whose compassion and selflessness touched countless lives. She was known for her unwavering willingness to help others–always ready to give the shirt off her back without a second thought. Around Christmas every year, she enjoyed making sleighs with miniature candy bars and candy canes and giving them out to anyone she knew to brighten their day and put a smile on their face!
Bonnie attended Kishacoquillas High School and dedicated nearly four decades of her life to her work as an electronics assembler at Fisher Electronics in Milroy and C-COR Electronics in State College and continued working well into her 60’s as a caregiver. Bonnie found joy and purpose in her work, especially in the camaraderie and the opportunity to help others and support those around her.
Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
