Thelma L. ‘Pat’ Haubrick
Thelma L. “Pat” Haubrick, 95, of Lewistown, entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at Embassy of Hearthside in State College.
Born on April 16, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Partner) Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald, Joseph, and Gene Long, and her sisters, Betty Mitchell and Ruth Pearson.
Pat is lovingly survived by her son, William E. Haubrick, Jr., and his wife, Cheryl (Goss); her sister-in-law, Shizuko Long; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
A woman of quiet strength and simple joys, Pat dedicated many years to Avtex Fibers before her retirement. Earlier in life, she attended Pine Glen C&MA Church and, in her later years, faithfully spent her Sunday mornings watching Dr. Charles Stanley’s messages on television.
She delighted in life’s comforting pleasures–cheering on Penn State football, enjoying classic westerns (especially Gunsmoke), piecing together puzzles, and tackling word searches. Pat’s warmth was perhaps best expressed in her kitchen, where she was known for her exceptional homemade bread, lemon sponge pie, raisin-filled cookies, sand tarts, and sticky buns.
A funeral service honoring Pat’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown, with Major Susan Mackneer officiating. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow privately at Juniata Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
