Sue L. Wilkinson

Sue L. Wilkinson, 80, of McClure, was lovingly welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on Dec. 10, 1944, in Lewistown, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Bolton) Schell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lewis Schell, and a beloved daughter-in-law, Stephanie Wilkinson.
On April 26, 1969, Sue married the love of her life, Robert E. Wilkinson, Sr., who remains to treasure the many years they shared together. Also surviving are her devoted children, Patty Dorsey and husband, Larry “Skip,” of Milroy, and Robert Wilkinson, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of McClure; her adored grandchildren, Jonathan Wilkinson, Haley Schwenzer and husband, Samuel, and Andrew and Emily Dorsey; and her precious great-granddaughters, Demi and Blair Schwenzer. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Sandy Kauffman and husband, Paul, of Belleville, and Robert Schell and wife, Kathy, of Lewistown.
Sue lived a life marked by faith, service, and love for her family. A longtime and faithful member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, she served her church family with dedication as a member of the kitchen council and as treasurer of the administrative board. She found joy in gathering with her card club, cooking and baking for those she loved, swimming in her pool during warm summer days, and cheering for her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, her greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly the center of her world.
A memorial service celebrating Sue’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at King Funeral Home & Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Tom Morningstar officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Private burial will follow at Mt. Rock Cemetery.
