Richard K. Stringfellow Jr.

Richard K. Stringfellow Jr., 72, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at his home.
Born Nov. 4, 1952, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Richard K. Stringfellow Sr. and Emma (Wagner) Ronk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean Stringfellow; and a granddaughter, Sky.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane K. (Yoder) Stringfellow. Richard leaves behind his children, Cindi Earnest and husband, Mark, of Lewistown, Kay Davis and companion, Mike Harshbarger, of McVeytown, Erica Runkel and husband, Edward Jr., of Lewistown, and Amy Bilger and husband, Jeremy, of Lewistown. He is also remembered by his grandchildren, Cameron and Ashley, Nathan and Hannah, Melissa, Caleb, Tyler and Caitlyn, Colton and Maddison, Edward III, Hannah and companion, William, Mackenzie and fiancÈ, Alex, Rylie, Anastin, Madylin, and Laben, totaling 14 grand children; 16 great- grandchildren; and sister, Glenda Silks and husband, Bill, of Lewistown.
Richard was a 1971 graduate of Lewistown High School.
Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to various roles in the community, including working at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Servamation Refreshments, Joe Krentzman & Son, Harrisburg Airport as a guard, YMCA, and most recently at Mifflin County Correctional Facility as a guard.
Richard was a proud member of the Mifflin County Fire Police and the Highland Park Firehouse. He found joy in serving his community as a firefighter and enjoyed visiting the airport to watch airplanes. Above all, he cherished spending time with his beloved dog, Chunk.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, followed by a funeral at 6 p.m., officiated by Pastor Chuck Silks.
