Donna Gale Lancaster

Donna Gale Lancaster, 86, of Lewistown, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Embassy of Hearthside in State College.

Born on April 27, 1939, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Ripple) Harclerode.

On Sept. 15, 1956, Donna married the love of her life, Franklin G. “Frank” Lancaster, who survives. Alongside her devoted husband, she is lovingly remembered by her children: Rodney Lancaster and wife, Ronda, of Reedsville; Janie Wakefield and husband, David, of Wake Forest, N.C.; Rita Klenk and husband, Robert, of Newtown Square, Pa.; and Franklin Lancaster and wife, Kathleen, of Chuluota, Fla. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Candice Lancaster, Dustin Wakefield, Sara Duda, Adam Wakefield, Rhiannon Lancaster, John Lancaster, and Caitlin Lancaster; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, James Harclerode, of Alexander City, Ala.

Donna dedicated her life to both her family and her work. Over the years, she was employed at Fisher Electronics, Saint Anne’s High School cafeteria, Pamida’s Department Store, and later served as a relief Postmaster at various post offices. She was also an avid reader, building a treasured library and instilling in her family a love for books that continues to this day.

She was a 1957 graduate of Captain Jack High School, she was a long-time member of Grace Covenant Church in Lewistown, where she served as a volunteer with the Hand of Grace Ministry, and was a communion steward. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and is now rejoicing in His presence for all eternity.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at King Funeral Home & Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, at Grace Covenant Church, 227 Washington Avenue, Lewistown, with Pastor Ron Neff officiating. Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery in Reedsville.
