John Albert O’Donnell

Born on Oct. 5, 1963, in Lewistown. He was the son of Glenda (Mayes) O’Donnell and the late David J. O’Donnell.

Surviving are siblings, Janet Lea Cates of Texas, David M. O’Donnell, Sr. and wife, Donna of Reedsville, and William E. O’Donnell and wife, Tonia of Milroy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Bertha O’Donnell of New Lancaster Valley and Albert and Dolly Mayes of Granville, as well as several aunts and uncles, and a great-niece Katie.

He graduated in 1983 from Chief Logan High School.

He was raised in the Lockes Banks Evangelical Methodist Church and loved attending church, and was a faithful attender, only missing when he was sick.

John loved the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State. He enjoyed playing bingo when he was able.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
