Christopher S. Staronka

Born on May 13, 1965, in Lewistown, Christopher was the son of Helen Irene (Treaster) Staronka, who survives him, and the late Ronald Heckert. He was also preceded in death by his companion, Cindy Gilmore.

Christopher is survived by his mother; his daughters, Margaret Ozeler and her husband, Aykan of Williamsport and Katherine Staronka of Wayne; his granddaughter, Luna Sage Ozeler; his brother, Michael Staronka and wife, Kasey of Lewistown; and nephews, David and Aaron.

Christopher graduated from Kishacoquillas High School in 1983 and earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

An active member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, Christopher was also a lifetime member of the NRA. He found joy outdoors, particularly through hunting and fishing.

In the early years of his career, Christopher worked for Lewistown Borough before later employment at Walmart in both State College and Lewistown.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Christopher’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
