Brenda Darlene Bumgardner

Born June 7, 1952 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Lee Victor Moore and LaVonne (Baer) Hockenberry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Debbie Young.

She is survived by her husband of 49 yrs, Donald Lee Bumgardner, children Terry L. Bumgardner, of Lewistown, Angela D. Schuman and husband, Rex, of Ga., Wesley D. Bumgardner, of Shrewsbury; grandchildren, Zachery S. Duff and wife, Jordan, Tru Bumgardner; great grandson, Calvin T Duff; siblings, Dennis Moore and companion, Cindy Killian, of Allentown, Daniel Moore, of Lewistown, David Moore and companion, Rachel Fergison, of Lewistown and Dorothy Patrick and husband, Frank, of Philadelphia; niece Machelle Young, of Lewistown.

While Donald served overseas in the US Army, Brenda faithfully cared for their children on her own. Her strength, resilience, and unconditional love carried the family through those years, leaving a legacy of devotion that her children will never forget.

She was a graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School.

Brenda was guided throughout her life by her Methodist faith.

She retired after a dedicated career with Weis Markets as a Bakery Manager.

Brenda is now reunited with loved ones who passed before her and will be deeply missed by all who remain.

The family will gather privately to celebrate her life and legacy at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home 108 1 st Ave Burnham Pa, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Brenda’s memory may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl Memphis TN 38105
