Louie D. Peachey Sr.

Born May 13, 1949, in Belleville, he was the son of the late Eli D. and Linda (Byler) Peachey. On Nov. 22, 1973, he married his wife, Lomie E. Peachey, who survives.

Also surviving are children: Malinda E. Kanagy and husband, Louie, Susan L. Swarey and husband, Louie, Eli R. Peachey and wife, Rebecca, all of Belleville; Martha M. Peachey and husband, Daniel, of Beaver, O.H., Nancy L. Kanagy and husband, Levi, of Belleville, John U. Peachey and wife, Lizzie of Jackson, O.H., Louie D. Peachey Jr. and wife, Annie, Sadie R. Peachey and husband, Reuben, Ezra S. Peachey and wife, Rhoda, Elsie L. Kanagy and husband, Daniel, Rachie A. Peachey and husband, Urie, Sylvan L. Peachey and wife, Lydia, Ivan S. Peachey and wife, Barbara, Benuel L. Peachey and wife, Susie, Aaron L. Peachey and wife, Linda, all of Belleville; siblings: Susan M. Swarey, Jacob H. Peachey and wife, Ada, Linda K Swarey and husband, Samuel, Eli D. Peachey and wife, Elsie, Benuel K. Peachey and wife, Lizzie, all of Belleville, Alvin R. Peachey and wife, Rosa, of Millerstown, brother-in-law, Henry Peachey and wife, Hettie, of Allensville, sisters-in-law: Katie Peachey and Mary Peachey, of Belleville; 111 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Louie was preceded in death by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers: Sylvanus E. Peachey, Elmer Lee Peachey, and infant, John J. Peachey; sisters: Leah S. Peachey and an infant sister; and brother-in-law: Jacob Swarey.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Sylvan L. Peachey residence, 125 Bean Tree Lane, Belleville, with the home ministers officiating. His family will receive friends on Friday, June 13, 2025, also at the Sylvan Peachey residence.

Burial will take place at White Hall Amish Cemetery.
