Andrew ‘Andy’ ‘Gump’ R. Guthridge
Andrew ‘Andy’ ‘Gump’ R. Guthridge, 81, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 1:50 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
He was born April 4, 1943 in Saxton, a son of the late John and Jean (Tate) Guthridge. On Aug. 28, 1960, he married the former Darlis Jane Hoover, who survives.
He was employed at WB Wagner, Branch Motor Express, and retired from Day Equipment, Milton.
Gump loved going to flea markets and yard sales, collecting items, woodworking, fishing, and hunting.
He was a member of the Lewistown Moose and Mifflinburg Moose, where he was on the bowling team. Gump was a life member of Yeagertown Fire Company.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 64 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Pam Guthridge of Lewisburg; one daughter, Connie Lepley of Mifflinburg; one granddaughter and spouse, Trish Lepley, and Paul Hoopsick III; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Hoopsick; and two sisters, Linda Liddick of Lewistown, and Cindy Zimmerman of Shippensburg.
He was preceded in death by six siblings: Donald Guthridge, Joan Hubler, Robert Guthridge, John Guthridge, Mary Ann Stewart, and Tina Earnest.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, March 13, at Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewistown PA, with Rev. Randy Fiske, officiating.
