Vonda Sue Mayers (Blessing)
Vonda Sue Mayers age 60, passed away on Aug. 20, 2024, in Weatherford, Texas. Born on Aug. 16, 1964, in Lewistown, Vonda’s life was marked by her deep love for her family and her community.
Vonda spent much of her career as a cashier at various truck stops around Weatherford, Texas. She was well-known for her friendly demeanor and the kind way she treated everyone who came through her line. Beyond her professional life, Vonda was an avid crafter. She found joy in creating custom cups, pens, and car freshies. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through when she started a small purse business, bringing her creative visions to life and sharing them with others.
Family was the cornerstone of Vonda’s life. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Jimmy Mayers; her children, Nathan Wagner and spouse, Michelle, John Nickel and spouse, Elizabeth, Jessica Reynolds and spouse, Erik, Sean Jones and spouse, Hannah, Taylor Mayers, Tanner Mayers and Shelby Rogers. Vonda’s legacy also lives on through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Russell Blessing and spouse Jennifer, Tammy Bossert and spouse, Brian, Michelle Hopple and spouse, Mark, Michael Snook, William Snook, Donald Blessing, Lewis Blessing, Darwin Stultz, and Marian Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Snook and Doris Blessing, and her sister, Carol Blessing.
There will be a celebration of life on Sept. 7, 2024 at Harberger Hill Community center located at 701 narrow st Weatherford Texas 76086. From 12 to 3 p.m.
Vonda’s kindness and warmth touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
