Katie L. Yoder
Katie L. Yoder, 87, of Belleville, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024. She was the wife of the late Jonas D. Yoder. She was born on June 13, 1937, to the late Daniel and Arie (Peachey) Bender.
Surviving is a sister, Emma Peight, wife of Daniel, of Belleville; a sister-in-law, Lizzie Bender, of New Enterprise, PA; step-children: Mollie R. Peachey, wife of the late Levi H., Lizzie N. Kanagy, wife of the late Stephen N., both of Belleville; step sons-in-law, Daniel A. Peight of Belleville and Ben E. Peachey of Turbotville, Pa.; step daughter-in-law, Mattie Yoder of Rockville, IN; 37 step-grandchildren and 241 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Pauline Bender, two brothers, Mose P. Bender and Korie E. Bender, step-children: Katie R., wife of Daniel A. Peight, Sadie R., wife of Ben E. Peachey, Noah D. Yoder, husband of Mattie (Kanagy)Yoder, Stephen N. Kanagy, husband of Lizzie N., Leroy J. and wife Linda (Peachey) Yoder and John K. Yoder.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024 at the Benjamin L. Peachey residence, 698 Schoolhouse Road, Belleville. Her viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024 also at the Benjamin L. Peachey residence.
Burial will take place at the Renno Cemetery in Whitehall.
