Nicholas L. Martinelli

Nicholas L. Martinelli, 52, of Altamonte Springs, Fla. passed away Jan. 31, 2024, at the hospital in Daytona, Fla.

He was born Sept. 26, 1971, in Lewistown. He was the son of the late Lawrence Martinelli and Catherine Martinelli, who survives.

He was united in marriage to Sabina Covington on March 8, 2019.

In adddition to his mother, Nick is survived by siblings; Angela and husband, Terry Kelley, Tony and wife, Amy Martinelli and Christine Martinelli and Douglas DeArment.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Lawrence Martinelli, sister, Theresa Leister and nephew, Thomas Kelley.

Nick graduated from Indian Valley High School in 1990 and Alvernia College in 1994. Nick lived in Washington, D.C. and worked for the United States Congress as a legislative executive until his retirment in 2016. He then moved to Florida, where he spent time at both his homes in Altamonte Springs and Daytona.

Nick had a sharp wit and great sense of humor. He had a great laugh and made sure those around him laughed as well. Nick was curious about the world around him, both the unfamiliar and ordinary. This interest sparked his love of travel, especially with his wife, Sabrina.

Nick played tennis for much of his life. He enjoyed music and earlier in life played the drums. Nick enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and beloved dog, Roxy. He always entertained his neices and phews and great neice and nephews by learning and performing magic tricks. Nick will be sadly missed by his family.

Nick’s family will recieve friends and relatives for a celebration of his life and a meal at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at Decatur Cookhouse.
