Steven W. Zook

He was married 51 years to Fern E. Zimmerman Zook. Born in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Ezra S. and Dorothy A. Youtzy Zook.

Steven had been a dairy farmer. He was a member of the Conestoga Valley Mennonite Church in Ephrata, where he had been a deacon. He was a former member of the Rheems Mennonite Church where he had served as a deacon for 41 years.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Andrew, husband of Laura (Leid) Zook, of Saegertown, Eric, husband of Renita (Sensenig) Zook, of Elizabethtown, and Jonathan, husband of Heather (Shank) Zook, of Leola; four daughters, Rebecca, wife of Leon Newswanger, of Philadelphia, N.Y., Roseanna, wife of Luke Brubaker, of Spring Grove, Melinda, wife of Sylvan Kauffman, of Stonefort, Ill., and Karen, wife of Conrad Near, of Stacyville, Iowa: 36 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Zook, of Reedsville, and Patricia, wife of Darwin Yoder, of Belleville; and a brother, J. Marvin, husband of Renee (Thompson) of Petersburg, Pa. Steven will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Conestoga Valley Mennonite Church, 593 Stevens Road, Ephrata, Pa. with Ministers Nathan Sweigart, Mark Hostetter, Melvin Mack, Mervin Martin and Daniel Baltozer officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the Conestoga Valley Mennonite Church on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, Pa.
