Donovan E. Roush
Donovan E Roush, 87 of Media, Pa., peacefully passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, in the company of his wife, Darla. Born March 11, 1936, in New York City, Don is the son of the late Donovan R. and Olivia Patterson Roush.
Growing up in Mifflintown, Don graduated from the Juniata Joint High School in 1954 and from Penn State University in 1958 with a major in Finance.
Don served in the U.S. Airforce National Guard from 1958 to 1964.
Don and his first wife, the late Lois Naylor, of Mifflin, married 1959 to 1970, have two daughters, Diane Olivia Hubert of Boca Raton, Fla. and April Patterson Urbine of Frisco, Texas.
He was a Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President at the Philadelphia National Bank, retiring in 1996 after 38 years of service.
Don and Darla married in 2010 and lived in Media, PA until his death.
Don traveled extensively throughout Pennsylvania while working for the bank. After retirement, he took his daughters and their husbands on an amazing African safari vacation. Later, he went on many trips throughout the U.S. and Canada with his wife and grandsons.
He is survived by his wife Darla Hardwick Roush, his daughters, Diane Roush Hubert (late James Hubert) and April Roush Urbine (Bret Urbine), grandsons James and David Hubert, Austin, and Preston Urbine.
His greatest joy in life were times spent with his family and making memories with his grandsons.
Don was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church of Havertown, Pa.
Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Hope United Methodist Church, 1100 Steel Road, Havertown, PA.
Private Interment will be at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Mifflintown, Friday at 2:30 p.m.
