Stella Shuey

Born May 17, 1924, in Mattawana, she was the daughter of the late Pansy (Wincer) and Harry Smith.

She is survived by one sibling, Eva Romick and she is preceded in death by seven siblings, Marie Claybaugh, Carrie Gage, Violet Searer, Rhoda Peachey, Lorraine Kauffman, Ernest Smith and Hazel Breckville.

She married Richard “Dick” Charles Beatty on Nov. 22, 1946, and she is survived by their four children, Sandra Rohrer (Lowell), John Beatty (Cheryl), Brenda Beatty-Reid and Sharon Langenfelder (Butch). Her beloved Dick passed away on Sept. 19, 1963.

Stella then married Junior C. Shuey of Ono, Pa., on Nov. 22, 1975, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2001.

Stella enjoyed spending time with her nine grandchildren, Tony, Jennifer, Melissa, Angela, Austin, Ali, Autumn, Ashley and Abby as well as her eight great-grandchildren, Nick, Ben, Ryan, Noah, Olivia, Jackson, Stella and Sophia.

She faithfully attended worship at both Ferguson Valley Brethren-in-Christ Church and Pine Glen Alliance Church.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Pine Glen Alliance Church, 1058 SR 103 North, Lewistown at 11:30 a.m on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023. Private interment at Lind Memorial Cemetery in Lewistown will be held at the family’s convenience.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.
