Scott Edward Specht Jr.

Born Nov. 12, 1983, in Lewistown, he was the son of Scott E. and Terri (Wilkins) Specht, of Burnham, who survive.

Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John W. Specht Jr.; maternal grandparents, David L. Wilkins Sr. and Florence G. Wilkins Zannino; uncles, David L. Wilkins Jr. and Steven A. Specht; and a companion, Heather Burris.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by a son, Jayson S. Sowers and his mother, Janet Brought, both of Yeagertown; his sister, Tiffany Specht, of Burnham; grandmother, Janice M. Oldt; niece and nephew, Amilia and Conrad Coffey; aunts and uncles, Randy Specht, Terry Specht, Charity Dawson, Faith Nairins, Jean Wilkins, and Cathy Washington, and their families and many cousins.

He was employed at Your Building Centers in Lewistown and Allensville, formerly APM.

He loved hunting, exploring, and geocaching (an outdoor game that uses global positioning to hide and locate various containers, or “caches”), along with his best friend, Darin Wall.

All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at Malta Park in Granville, at the red pavilion.
