Tena M. Harshbarger

Born April 18, 1956, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Dorothy (Franks) Hughes. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Harshbarger, Jr., brother, Robert Karstetter, and sister, Melinda “Vicki” Norris.

Tena is survived by her daughters, Angela Chilson and husband, Jeffrey, and Mykeshia Weaver and husband, Matthew; grandchildren, Bryan Chilson, Cole Chilson, Alaina Chilson, and Madden Weaver; also surviving is her sister, Ann Hesser, of McVeytown.

She attended Lewistown CMA.

Earlier in life, she was employed at the Lewistown Sentinel in the mail room, and at Pizza Hut. Later in life, she enjoyed what she considered to be her favorite job, watching her grandchildren that meant so much to her. Over the years, Tena faithfully attended all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and recitals.

In honor of her wishes, no services will be held.
