John T. Bretz
John T. Bretz, 80, of Lewistown, passed away at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He was the loving husband of Beth A. (Logan) Bretz for 23 years.
Born on April 20, 1943 in Dauphin County, he was a son of the late John W. and Ester Bretz. He was a member at Alfarata Lutheran Church and served in the National Guard for over 5 years. John worked as a driver for various companies including Fame Emergency Medical Service.
John is survived by his wife, Beth; children, Scott E. Bretz and wife, Linda, of Wheaton, Illinois and John L. Bretz and wife, Melissa K., of Port Royal; and sisters, Margie Honey and Linda Bretz. He also has 7 grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Jenna, Kirsten, Teague, and Taylor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Greta and granddaughter, Morgan.
A viewing will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The service will begin at 3 p.m. Burial is to take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023 at New Church Hill Cemetery in Port Royal.
